Fort Alldredge & CBC Test

Lilly has been asking to build a fort since we've been home from the hospital. Today we went all out and built it. I think Lilly and Emery like it. What do you think?

Now if we can just get them to come out.

Today we've also be concerned about Lilly's blood count and her platelet levels, so we called to have Lilly's home nurse Browyn come and take some blood.  Signs of her lower levels are petechiae (small red dots of blood) and her pale skin pigment. Petechiae is the sign of low platelets and the pale skin is sign of low red blood cells. She also bruises very easily.

She chose to have her blood taken from her arm since she had her port de-accessed yesterday.

So, once we find out the results they'll determine if she needs to have transfusions or wait till Tuesdays clinic appointment.

  2. Lilly, sorry that you're having to go through such hard things, but you are such a brave girl and so strong. What an example you are for those who see you go through what you are having to go through. We love you so much and wish that you didn't have to go through all of the painful things. Be strong sweetie and know that Heavenly Father loves you and knows you personally. I just love that huge fort, it is amazing.

  3. Boy lilly you and aunt Teri are alike. I don't look either when my blood has to be drawn. Keep being brave sweet angel. Say a silent prayer in your mind while they are doing it. It takes your mind off of what they are doing. I am so proud of you. Loves, giggles and hugs!
