Jonathan Heaton
For the 24th of July we went on a road trip to a small town in south central Utah to see the town where my great great grandfather settled with his two wives. Alton was the town where my grandmother Dorothy Spencer grew up. In Alton, the Heaton descendants put together the largest and best planned out reunion I have ever heard of let alone been a part of.
The descendants of this great man gathered in this SMALL town and nearly over ran it. I believe there must have been about 1,400 family members in this town with a population of just over 100.

After all the fun we had during the day we went star gazing. But, not just looking up at the stars. We were able to meet up with Mark and Cindy Palmer, Mark is also a descendant of Jonathan Heaton and used to live in my neighborhood when I was a young boy. Mark and Cindy have this SMAWESOME telescope that I remember looking through as a boy. Now it's Lilly and Emery's turn to see the moon like they've never seen before.
Needless to say these past few weeks have been filled with the much needed Love, Friendship, and FUN!!!!
