Glover Family Reunion 2016

What a fun weekend! The Glover Family Reunion was a success and lots of great memories were made! Grandma Spencer is the last living sibling in her family, but she's the glue that holds this family reunion together. She's the one commonality that we all have. So grateful for Grandma!

Wish it wasn't so hot over the weekend. When we got to Delta on Friday, it was 106 degrees! Bleh! But, we stayed in the shade as much as possible, and it cooled down after the sun went down. It was both Lilly's and Emery's first time sleeping in a tent. They thought that was pretty cool. But, of course, I forgot to take a picture of it. Grr! Oh well, there's always next time.

Now that Lilly is off treatment, all she wants to do is be a normal kid.... And do kid stuff like climb trees. We found her in this tree more than a few times. And only once did Jay have to rescue her out of the tree! Way to go Lilly. So proud of you!

A new and popular game - Spike Ball.
And my cute Em just being cute! Love that little girl!

Saturday morning was the Hinckley parade. It was early enough that it wasn't too hot. And we were sitting at the beginning of the parade so it lasted only about 20 minutes! Perfect. Short and sweet. And loads of candy!!

So grateful for our freedoms and those who have chosen to protect our great country. Thank you!

Thank you to the cooks! Breakfast and Dinner was DELICIOUS!

Hey Y'all!

It was Alicia's birthday over the weekend, and we missed Gordon's birthday, so we decided they both need Star Wars bobble heads. :)

Horseshoes.

Bubble activities. The kiddos were in heaven!

Unfortunately, Lilly got her very first bee sting at the family reunion. But, she was a champ and it didn't affect her too bad. It's so weird that we can give her Motrin now that she's off treatment. Plus a little bit of topical Benadryl gel and some ice, and she was good to go! You're a tough girl Miss Lilly!

Group picture. I think I heard there was 101 people in attendance at the reunion. So grateful for the friendships and memories we made. Until next time...

The next morning, we stopped by the "Rez" and played for a while before heading home. The girls were in heaven! Jay, not so much! He HATES sand more than just about anything. I stayed out of the sun. It was entirely too hot for me. I'm not a summer person. But, the girls had so much fun - even if we were only there for an hour.
